The infinite range and depth of music will never cease to amaze me. Sincere music has the power to touch people regardless of their culture, race, gender, religion or social status and to bring about true communication.
My approach towards making music has always been fueled by this vision. Throughout the years I’ve always believed that playing percussion will have a positive impact on the world. To use the words of Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart:
Good rhythm is what
this world needs a lot of now,
because good rhythm is the antidote
for hate.
This is the website of Job Verweijen, but is it really about me? What hopefully
matters is the story I am telling, the energy I am giving and the message I
am sending through my playing.
I like to think of this website as a positive
energy portal. I hope it will introduce you to music you haven’t heard,
ideas you haven’t thought about and people you haven’t met before.
